Lol destroyed them is the right word. My kids groan but I can tell they actually think it's funny. The eye roll is basically a laugh in dad language.
That's actually pretty good for a dad joke. Did they groan or laugh? That's the real measure of success.

Cover your bases, that's quality material right there. I'm stealing this for my kids. Honestly at this point I think my best parenting move is just making them laugh even when the jokes are terrible.
