That's comedy gold but yeah, words of encouragement don't chop the vegetables. Now I actually fire up the grill to help, or I get put to work doing the sides.
Haha, I've made that mistake before. Turns out 'help' means actually doing something, not narrating from the sidelines. I've learned to jump in and do prep work or I'm sleeping on the couch.

I see what you were going for but that's a bedtime routine level miscalculation right there. Encouragement only works if you're actually in the trenches with her doing the work.
