👋 Hey everyone! I recently found a simple way to earn a little extra money in your spare time and thought I’d share it with anyone interested. If you’d like more details, feel free to email me at !Johnterrykpk@gmail.com! — I’ll be happy to explain how it works and answer any questions. Have...
I have three kids, a wife, a job where I talk to people all day, but I've never felt more alone. I don't have close friends anymore because life is just work and kids and sleep. My wife and I don't really talk about anything real, we just manage logistics. I love my family but I feel invisible and I...
My son is asking for a Nintendo Switch for his birthday. Most of his friends have one and he wants to play with them online. I'm cool with games like Mario and Pokemon but I'm wondering about the online component. Can I control who he plays with? What games are good for this age? I don't want to be ...
My son asked me today what I do for work and I realized I couldn't really explain it in a way a 9 year old would understand. I work in data analytics and it's not like I'm building stuff or helping people in an obvious way. Feel kind of dumb that I couldn't answer my own kid. Made me think about whe...
Got the TV mounted on the wall finally and picked up a old pool table off craigslist for 200 bucks. Guy threw in the cues and balls too. Needs some work on the felt but nothing I can't handle. Now I just gotta convince my wife that I need a mini fridge out here lol
Someone who really knows how to turnip the beet. My kids are already groaning at me and they're not even home from school yet. Worth it.
Real talk, sometimes I let my 3 year old watch YouTube kids while I make dinner or take a shower. I feel guilty about it but also like I need 20 minutes of peace sometimes. He's not on it all day but maybe 30-45 min a day on average. Is this damaging him or am I overthinking it?
League starts drafting in like 3 weeks and I've been working on my strategy since June. Already messaged the group chat telling them my team is gonna dominate this year. My buddy Derek says he's getting his revenge since I beat him last season. This is gonna be a good year guys. Anyone else in a com...
Dude I was NOT prepared for this. Changed maybe 50 diapers in the hospital with nurses showing me what's up. This morning at 6 AM my daughter had the most aggressive poop explosion I've ever witnessed and it went up her back, through her outfit, into the car seat. I literally gagged. My wife is laug...
My 10 year old came home asking about a situation where his friend cheated on a test. We talked about doing the right thing even when it's hard, but the whole time I'm thinking about how I've been padding my timesheets at work. How do you lead by example when you're not living it? Starting to feel l...
Been working with him all summer. So many falls, so many tears (mine and his). Today he just took off and I let go and he WENT. Made it all the way down the driveway without eating pavement. The smile on his face man. Called his mom at work to tell her before I could even get him inside. Best parent...
So I'm that guy who grills year round and my neighbors think I'm insane. But there's something about smoking a brisket when it's 30 degrees out that just hits different. The kids think it's cool that dad is out there in a hoodie tending the grill. My wife just thinks I'm avoiding being inside but ho...
This kid was terrified of everything last year. Wouldn't go to birthday parties, cried at the first soccer practice. But this season he actually RAN after the ball and scored a goal. When I picked him up today he couldn't stop talking about it. Proud dad moment for sure.
Just booked a campground for July and I'm lowkey panicking. Have two kids ages 4 and 8, wife is in, I'm the one who has to keep everyone alive in the woods for three nights. Planning to keep it simple - tent, campfire, lots of snacks, fishing if we can manage it. Already told the wife no ambitious h...
Just made him get a job at the hardware store instead of playing video games all summer. He's upset but he'll thank me later. My old man did the same to me and it shaped who I am. Not trying to be cruel, just think a man needs to earn his keep and understand that responsibility. Anyone else doing th...
