Why did the dad go to the baseball game?
Because he heard someone had stolen a base! Been waiting all week to tell this one to my kids at dinner. My 7yo groaned so hard I think he pulled something.

Been working with him all summer and today he just took off down the driveway. I was running behind him ready to catch him but he didn't need me. Went a good 50 feet before stopping. My wife got it on video and I've watched it like 20 times already. This might sound corny but I'm so damn proud of th...
This is driving me nuts. My ex will agree to the custody schedule Sunday night, then Wednesday she texts asking if I can swap weekends because she has plans. I work in construction so my schedule isn't flexible and my new partner has her own kids. I've tried being reasonable but this happens constan...
I travel maybe 3-4 weeks a month for work and make good money doing it. My wife says I should look for something else but finding a job with similar pay that doesn't require travel seems impossible. The kids are getting old enough to notice I'm gone and that breaks my heart. Anyone found a way to ba...
We use a shared app but I'm wondering if anyone else just communicates in person at drop offs? Her new boyfriend picked up our son last week and things felt awkward. I want to keep things focused on the kids but don't know if meeting face to face is better or if that makes things weirder. What does ...
Took 8 weeks off after our second was born and it was incredible but now I'm back at work and the transition is killing me. The company has been fine but I feel like I'm behind on everything. My kid is growing so fast and I'm missing moments. Hate that I feel like I have to choose between being a go...
Currently 50/50 but I do all the school runs on my days, pack lunches, help with homework. Ex gets them for long weekends and vacations but hardly does the day to day stuff. I love being with my kids but the constant switching between houses has them anxious and acting out. Thinking about asking for...
Every morning I wake up with this knot in my stomach and racing thoughts about everything that could go wrong that day. It usually settles down by like noon but those first few hours are brutal. I'm trying to exercise more and cut back on coffee but nothing's really helping yet. It's affecting my re...
Started a sourdough starter like 3 weeks ago just to see if I could do it. Finally baked my first loaf yesterday and it turned out decent. The crust was crispy and everything. My oldest asked if I could make it again and that basically made my whole month. Now I'm thinking about doing this regularly...
To get to the other side and then explain why it was funny for the next 10 minutes while his kids rolled their eyes
I can have lunch with my family now which sounds simple but man it's been huge. I'm actually present for the middle of their day instead of just sprinting in at dinner time. Productivity is up too which is weird, maybe I'm just happier. Definitely recommend if your job allows it.
Been working with him for like 3 months and today he just took off down the driveway on his own. I literally teared up a little which is embarrassing but whatever. Wife got it on video too. He's still wobbly but he RODE. Best day ever honestly.
Kid fell off the monkey bars and they needed me to come get him. Had to step out of a client call to go pick him up. He's fine just a scraped knee but the guilt of leaving that meeting early is eating me. Sometimes you just can't be in two places at once and it sucks.
Been working with my 12 year old on his handshake. Firm grip, eye contact, say your name clear. Kid was doing that limp fish thing and I knew I had to step in before he got to high school. My old man taught me this at about the same age and it's stuck with me my whole life. A man's handshake says so...
This is the hard one to admit. When my ex and I split three years ago I blamed her for everything. Therapy made me see I was checked out emotionally, critical all the time, never took initiative at home. It was brutal to swallow. The crazy part is now we actually get along better because I'm not tha...
